Mesa Adds 9 CRJ-900s to US Airways Fleet

Mesa Air Group will add nine Bombardier CRJ-900 regional jets to its US Airways fleet, bringing the total of the type to 38. The move is part of a new agreement with US Airways which extends the two’s partnership for eight more years  Under the terms of the agreement, Mesa will continue to provide US Airways Express service from US Airways hubs in Phoenix, Arizona and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The new CRJ-900s will have a two-class configuration with 9 first-class seats and 67 coach seats.

Mesa currently has a fleet of 62 aircraft.    The airline, which operates as US Airways Express and United Express, serves 88 cities in 34 seats with 350 daily flights.  Mesa was founded in New Mexico in 1982.
