Fairmont Hotels to Debut in Istanbul, Turkey

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts announced plans to open a property in Istanbul in 2016. Bildschirmfoto 2013-03-20 um 22.10 The 210-room Fairmont Quasar, Istanbul will be part of the Quasar Istanbul complex and will be the luxury chain’s first hotel in Turkey.

The complex is part of a mixed-use development located in the central business district of the city.  It will include two 41-story buildings that will contain the hotel, as well as Fairmont residences and Quasar residences and offices, which will be managed by Fairmont.

The hotel will feature Fairmont Gold, a hotel within a hotel, and will include several lounges and restaurants, a spa, and 2,000 square meters (21,527 square feet) of meeting and event space.  The residences will offer one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as three-bedroom duplexes.

The Fairmont Quasar, Istanbul is the latest of the company’s new properties to be announced.  It joins the Fairmont Kyiv in Ukraine and the Fairmont Baku in Azerbaijan (opening later this year), and the Fairmont Pekin, Moscow (opening in 2016).
