Carlson Rezidor announced that it will open 20 Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson hotels in Indonesia over the next seven years.  The company signed a joint venture agreement with Indonesia’s Panorama Group to develop and manage the properties.

Under the agreement, a new joint venture management company called PT. Carlson Panorama Hospitality will be formed to oversee the hotels.  The 20 properties will be located in major Indonesian cities such as Jakarta, Bali, and Surabaya, as well as in up-and-coming cities including Manado, Makassar, and Palembang.

Panorama Group first signed a joint venture partnership with Calrson in 1999, establishing Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Indonesia.  This newest joint venture will include hotel development and management.

Indonesia is currently Southeast Asia’s largest economy.   By 2030, it is expected to be the world’s seventh largest economy.
