Virgin America to Begin New San Jose-Los Angeles Service

DSC_0524Virgin America said it will launch daily service between San Jose and Los Angeles on May 1, 2013.  The service will operate four times a day, out of Terminal A at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport.

Flights will depart from Los Angeles International Airport at 7:00 a.m., 12:55 p.m., 4:55 p.m., and 8:45 p.m., and will arrive in San Jose at 8:10 a.m., 2:05 p.m., 6:05 p.m., and 9:55 p.m., respectively.  Flights from San Jose to Los Angeles will depart at 6:35 a.m. and arrive at 7:45 a.m., 8:55 a.m. and arrive at 10:05 a.m., 12:50 p.m. and arrive at 4:00 p.m., and 6:50 p.m. and arrive at 8:00 p.m.

The new route will operate using an Airbus A320 aircraft.  Virgin America will be the first airline to offer a first class cabin on all flights between the two cities.

All Virgin America aircraft feature live television and Wi-Fi service.  The airline serves 20 destinations including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
