L.A. Hotel Downtown to be Renovated, Rebranded as Hyatt
The L.A. Hotel Downtown will become a Hyatt Regency hotel in May of this year. The property is currently undergoing a $20 million renovation. Once that has been completed, the hotel will be known as the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown.
As part of the renovations, the hotel’s 419 guestrooms and suites will be refurbished, as will as its business and fitness centers, concierge lounge, lobby, and restaurants. Each room will be completely redone with new carpets, wall treatments, draperies, furniture, and bedding in a contemporary style.
The hotel’s 22,000 square feet (2,043 square meters) of meeting and event space will be completely redesigned and reconfigured. The space includes 17 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, and 4,000 square feet (371 square meters) of pre-function space.
The property is located within walking distance of the Staples Center, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and L.A. Live. Guests can currently earn Hyatt Gold Passport points when they stay at the L.A. Hotel Downtown, and will continue to be able to do so after it is rebranded as the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown.
