The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, wide-body, twin-engine jet airplane that can seat between 210 and 290 passengers.  It’s the world’s first aircraft to use composite materials for most of its construction, and has many other innovations as well, including the use of lithium-ion batteries.

The battery issues that the Boeing 787 Dreamliners are having are well known and resulted in the grounding of all 50 Dreamliners worldwide.
