Omni Hotels Acquires the Westin Providence Hotel

omni provOmni Hotels announced that it has acquired the Westin Providence Hotel, Rhode Island, and rebranded it as the Omni Providence Hotel.  The property is located in downtown Providence.

The 564-room hotel is part of an approximately 700,000 square foot (65,032 square meter) mixed-use development that is connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Providence Place Mall.  The development also includes three restaurants.

The hotel will undergo renovations to become an Omni property, as well as to reflect the local ambiance of Providence.  The Omni Providence Hotel will be part of the company’s Convention Collection of hotels, which includes the Omni Dallas Hotel, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, the Omni San Diego Hotel, the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., and the Omni Nashville Hotel, set to open later this year.
