New Star Alliance Lounge Opens at Buenos Aires International Airport
The Star Alliance announced the opening of a new lounge at Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini International Airport. The lounge will be accessible to first and business class passengers traveling on Star Alliance member flights, as well as to Star Alliance Gold Card holders.
Located on the second level of the airport’s Terminal B, the 4,843 square feet (450 square meters) lounge is open 24 hours a day, and has a capacity of approximately 130 guests.
With a light décor, the design is reminiscent of the Argentinean countryside. There are large armchairs, couches, swivel chairs, butterfly chairs, ottomans, and country armchairs, as well as low and moveable tables.
The lounge offers a selection of local and international newspapers and magazines, as well as televisions with local and international news and sports channels. The lounge serves complimentary food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages.
The lounge’s business center includes desktop computers, a printer, scanner, and photocopier, and there is complimentary Wi-Fi Internet throughout. There are also toilet and shower facilities, luggage storage, and flight information displays, as well as a small museum with local travel-related exhibits.
The new lounge is the first to use the new Alliance design concept, which combines local elements with global branding guidelines. The next lounge to feature the new concept is currently being built in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX.
Eight Star Alliance airlines offer service to Buenos Aires: Air Canada, Avianca, Taca Airlines, Copa, Lufthansa, South African Airways, TAM, Turkish Airlines, and United Airlines.
