JAL, S7 Announce Codeshare Agreement

Japan Airlines and S7 announced a codeshare agreement.  Under the agreement, JAL will be able to place its codes on flights operated by the Russian airline beginning January 30, 2013, while, beginning February 15, S7 will place its code on various JAL-operated flights.

JAL will place its code on S7 flights between Tokyo Narita and the Russian cities of Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.  Flights from Tokyo to Khabarovsk will depart at 2:25 p.m. and arrive at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays, while flights from Khabarovsk will depart at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Tokyo at 1:25 p.m.

Flights between Tokyo and Vladivostok will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with flights from Tokyo departing at 2:25 p.m. and arriving in Vladivostok at 6:55 p.m., and flights from Vladivostok departing at 1:00 p.m. and arriving in Tokyo at 1:25 p.m. the same day.

In addition, S7 Airlines will be allowed to place its code on several JAL-operated flights between Tokyo Narita and various destinations in Japan beginning February 15, 2013.  The two airlines are both members of the oneworld Alliance.
