Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of Fairmont The Palm in Dubai.  The 381-room resort is located on the Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man-made island, which is shaped in the form of a palm tree.

The property has four pools, a private beach club, a children’s activity center, a Willow Stream Spa, and 32,291 square feet (3,000 square meters) of meeting and event space.  It also has Fairmont Gold, a hotel within a hotel, with private and highly personalized service, a private reception area and lounge, and a higher class of rooms and suites.

Many of the resort’s rooms include balconies, while the interiors are colored to reflect an Arabian Sea sunrise and sunset.  The décor is contemporary with Arabic touches.

Dining options include Frevo, a Brazilian restaurant, to  Bā, a Chinese restaurant, to the Flow Kitchen, with cuisine from around the world.  The hotel also has two lounges, the Cigar Room and the Mashrabiya Lounge.

Fairmont The Palm is located near the city’s business district and two landmarks, the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest freestanding building, and the Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping mall..
