The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has released a new mobile app for smartphones.  The DFW Airport mobile app provides travelers with information and updates concerning flights, parking, restaurants, shops, and other airport services.

The app is designed to help passengers navigate the airport and supports push notifications.  Among other features, it will notify passengers about flight updates and gate changes.

The app also provides flight information and tracking, and can help people locate restaurants and shops within the airport and parking spots prior to arriving at the airport.

The app is currently available for smartphones running Apple iOS, Android, and Blackberry OS.  Tablet versions of the app are planned but the airport hasn’t announced a timeframe for availability.
