Alaska Airlines, Emirates Announce Joint Frequent Flyer Program Award Redemption Benefits

Alaska Airlines and Emirates have announced that members of their respective frequent flyer programs can, effective immediately, redeem awards for travel in the others’ program.  This enhancement builds on a relationship that started in March 2012, when Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members and Emirates Skywards members became eligible to earn miles on flights with both airlines.

To celebrate the enhanced benefits, Alaska Airlines is offering its Mileage Plan members the chance to earn triple miles for first- or business-class travel on Emirates fights between Seattle and Dubai.  In addition, the airline is offering members double miles for economy Skywards Flex tickets, as well as 2,500 bonus miles each way for economy Skywards Saver tickets on Emirates flights between the two cities.

These offers begin on February 1, 2013 and last through April 30.  Members must register for the promotion on Alaska Airlines’ website prior to completing their first flight.
