Marriott Opens First Hotel in Kerala, India

marriott kochi lobbyMarriott announced the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott, Kochi Airport in Kochi, India. The 107-room hotel is situated near the Kochi International Airport, and is the first Marriott property located in the state of Kerala.

Each room comes with complimentary high-speed Internet access, an electronic safe, an iPod docking station, and a 42” LED TV. The hotel has three banquet and meeting halls, a business center, and an executive lounge.

Dining options include MoMo Café, an all-day restaurant that features local and international dishes, and MoMo2Go, a cafe offering sandwiches, pastries, tarts, and hot and cold beverages. The hotel also has a fitness center, Jacuzzi, and outdoor pool, along with a children’s pool.

Kochi is located on India’s Melabar coast and is one of the fastest growing smaller cities in India.  It was a diverse population and has experienced enormous urbanization in recent years.
