Hilton Increases Requirements for Gold and Diamond Status
Hilton has upped the requirements for its Hilton HHonors members to achieve Gold or Diamond status. The changes will go into effect beginning January 1, 2013.
The new qualifications will require Hilton HHonors members to complete 20 stays, 40 nights, or accrue 75,000 Base Points during a year in order to achieve a Gold status. The previous requirements were 16 stays, 36 nights, or 60,000 Base Points.
To achieve Diamond status, members will need to have 30 stays, 60 nights, or 120,000 Base Points, up from the previous 28 stays, 60 nights, or 100,000 Base Points. Members with Gold or Diamond status are entitled to benefits such as complimentary high-speed Internet access, breakfast, and space-available room upgrades.
