Four Seasons Atlanta View

Elegant desks that match the decor in each room are of a good height, and once you clear the hotel amenity binders and other clutter, provide a good work surface. In my room, there were several outlets conveniently located nearby. The chair was comfortable, and the telephone’s speakerphone worked quite well (a rare occurrence). In-room Wi-Fi cost $8.99 per day for a standard connection, or $13.99 for a higher speed connection.

Function space is elegant and ample, and offers a range of facilities from boardrooms to a ballroom that can be configured in several different sizes. My favorite venue was the Savannah Room, which offers its own bar and vestibule.  Its wood-paneled walls, fireplace and tobacco-leaf ceilings give it a distinctly southern flavor. Function space continues outdoors on the tower’s terrace that also houses a garden. A separate business center with Macs,Four Seasons Atlanta Desk PCs and copy facilities is also available.

In the past, any mention by me of car parking valets in Atlanta has been negative (and fully justified), but in this case the experience proved to be a very positive one. Aside from being professional, and downright nice, they did a fantastic job of making a good first impression for the hotel, as did the hotel’s doormen. After I went running in a nearby park, I returned sweaty and breathing heavily. Before opening the door for me, a doorman handed me a complimentary ice-cold bottle of water. The valets didn’t scratch my car or joyride in my it, and unlike the valets several blocks south on Peachtree, they knew what a manual transmission was. I was impressed.

While I reveled in the four-minute walk to a CrossFit box and the exactly 5K that resulted from getting lost in the nearby Piedmont Park, it’s important to add that the Four Seasons offers some of the best wellness facilities that I have seen in a hotel. In fact, the gym even draws members from nearby office buildings. Four Seasons Atlanta Pool A well-outfitted gym offers more than the typically limited selection of free weights and machines, and is open 24 hours per day via the front desk, or from 5AM to 10PM with a hotel key card. A salt-water junior Olympic pool is part of the fitness center, and had I had more time to spend in Atlanta during this stay, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel has an on-site spa with a menu of treatments that I couldn’t even begin to decode, but they looked nice.
