Two Fairmont hotels in Cairo, Egypt announced new venues for dining and entertainment.

The Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers has revamped its restaurant’s cuisine and menu and the Fairmont Nile City gained a bar and lounge.

Aqua e Luce (Water and Light), the Fairmont Heliopolis and Towers’ restaurant, has been reborn, moving away from its Italian menu emphasizing antipasti and pasta to one that the restaurant says will focus on all things “fresh” including fresh produce and fresh and innovative creations.

Included on the new menu are such entrées as Australian Lamb with a Coriander Crust, Roasted American Beef Strip Loin, and Roasted Sea Bass.

Meanwhile, O Bar, a popular club, has moved into the Fairmont Nile City.   The walls and ceilings are decorated with psychedelic drawings, and the venue’s cocktail menu has been designed by mixologist Mickey Bourne.

The Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers has 835 guestrooms, 69,000 square feet of meeting and event space, three pools, and tennis and beach volleyball courts. The Fairmont Nile City has 566 rooms, and is situated between the two towers of the Nile City complex, a prestigious office and retail development that includes high-end shops, gourmet restaurants, and movie theaters.
