Menin Hotels has announced that the Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel in Miami will open on December 4, 2012, following a $35 million restoration.  The property, which consists of two joined boutique hotels, was originally built in 1941.

The hotel has 87 certified green rooms and suites.  The rooms will feature luxury Italian linens, marble bath appointments, 55”HD LED TVs, iHome docking stations, and fully-stocked minibars.  The hotel will also offer complimentary high-speed wireless Internet, room service, a fitness center, and nightly turn-down service.

The property’s new design uses  imported white Italian marble, custom designed light fixtures, European oak and walnut woods, and a palette of brown, tan, blue, white, and metallic accents.  The lobby contains diamond walnut panel, and there is a private 5,000 square foot sandblasted Carrera marble-clad rooftop deck.

The hotel will retain its roots with reclaimed limestone and terrazzo flooring from the original property, custom furniture pieces with hints of 1940s Shagreen embossed leather, exact replicas of lighting fixtures, and 1940s-inspired uniforms for its staff.  There will also be vintage South Beach photographs and memorabilia from the early 1900s displayed throughout the property and guestrooms and suites.

The property will also include Dolce Italian, a restaurant offering Italian classics with a contemporary influence, and the Regent Cocktail Club, a classic cocktail bar combined with a lounge.
