Jumeirah Group has signed an agreement to open a luxury hotel in Mumbai, India, in 2017.  The property is part of a new development in the Lower Parel district of central Mumbai.

The hotel will include 470 rooms, suites, and serviced apartments, as well as various restaurants and bars.  There will also be a Talise spa, along with wedding, banquet, conference, and meeting facilities.

Along with 15 properties that are presently under construction, Jumeirah Group currently operates 20 luxury hotels: 10 in the United Arab Emirates, seven in Europe, two in the Maldives, and one in China.  The property in Mumbai will be the company’s first in India.
