Hertz and Clear, a company which uses fingerprint and iris verification to expedite travelers’ security checkpoint experiences at airports, announced that they have formed a partnership.

Under the agreement, Hertz customers will receive a complimentary 60-day Clear trial membership, and will be allowed to become a member at a reduced rate.

Once Hertz customers are members of Clear, they will have unlimited access to the company’s airport network.  In addition, they will also have the opportunity to receive discounts on various Hertz rentals, including weekend and promotional rates.

Clear currently operates at San Francisco International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Orlando International Airport, and Denver International Airport, and will soon be operational at Westchester County Airport in New York.  Its security kiosks verify passengers using biometrics, wherein a passenger’s fingerprint or iris is scanned, which allows Clear members to pass through security at an average of five minutes or less.
