Alaska Airlines Announces New Service From San Diego to Boston and Kauai

Alaska Airlines has announced that it will begin new service between San Diego and Boston, and San Diego and Lihue, a town on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.  Service to Boston is scheduled to begin on March 29, 2013, while service to Kauai is set to begin on June 7, 2013.

Flights between San Diego and Boston will depart from San Diego at 9:30 a.m. and arrive in Boston at 5:55 p.m., and depart from Boston at 6:55 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 10:13 p.m.  The service will operate daily.

Flights from San Diego to Kauai will depart at 9:55 a.m. and arrive at 1:05 p.m., and will operate daily until August 24, 2013.  After that, flights will operate only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  Flights from Kauai to San Diego are scheduled to depart at 11:05 a.m. and arrive at 7:50 p.m.  The flights will also be daily, until August 23, 2013, when they will operate only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

In celebration of the new routes, Alaska Airlines is offering special fares. Tickets must be purchased by November 23, and can be used for travel between March 29 and May 17, 2013 for service to Boston, and between May 7 and July 18, 2013 for service to Kauai.
