Aeromexico has finalized an order with Boeing for 60 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft. The order, which is valued at more than $6 billion, also includes reconfirmation rights for 30 additional 737 Max aircraft.

The Boeing 737 Max increases fuel-use efficiency by 13% compared to current fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft, and offers an 8% operating cost per seat advantage. The aircraft also uses CFM International Leap 1B engines, and features the new Boeing Sky Interior.

Aeromexico’s order brings the total number of 737 Max orders to 938.
