The Surfcomber in Miami-South Beach

Kimpton’s Surfcomber Hotel in Miami-South Beach announced the opening of the Docking Station, a travel lounge filled with high-tech amenities and services.  Located in the hotel’s lobby, the Docking Station, which is open to locals who work virtually as well as to hotel guests, offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a place to both work and relax.

The Docking Station is open around the clock and discounted parking is available for $10.  Visitors to the lounge can text food and drink orders to the hotel’s restaurant, Lantao Kitchen + Cocktails. The restaurant’s staff will serve the order in the lounge.

Other necessities of modern virtual life that are provided in the Docking Station include power outlets and power strips as well as complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day.  The hotel offers wine (also at no charge) to Docking Station guests between 5 and 6 p.m

The Surfcomber Miami, South Beach is located in the Art Deco District, and is one of the newest Kimpton hotels.  In addition to the Docking Station, the hotel has a resident herd of cows and sheep that wander freely around the lobby, pool deck, and restaurant.
