Steigenberger to Take Over Luxury Hotel in Brussels

The Steigenberger Hotel Group will take over operations of the Conrad luxury hotel in Brussels, Belgium, at the beginning of January 2013. The 269-room property will be known as the Steinberger Grand Hotel Brussels.

The hotel includes 32 suites and a Royal Suite, as well as the restaurants Cafe Wiltchers and the Loui Lounge and Bar. The property features conference facilities with 16 conference rooms and that accommodate up to 600 people, as well as the city’s largest column-free ballroom with 550 square meters (5,920 square feet) of space. Beneath the hotel is a 3,200 square meter (34,000 square foot) fitness center and spa with a pool, operated by Aspria.

The future Steigenberger Grand Hotel Brussels is situated in the center of the city, on Avenue Louise. Located close by is the Royal Palace, Grand Palace, the European Parliament, and the Exhibition and Convention Center. Brussels will be the sixth major European city with Steigenberger locations, as the company has existing properties in Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Zurich.
