Orbitz Launches New Hotel Booking App for Android
Hotels by Orbitz for Android
Orbitz announced the launch of Hotels by Orbitz for Android. The new app, available on Google Play, offers customers comparison tools, secure booking, and Orbitz Mobile Steals, mobile-only discounts of up to 50% off hotel stays in over 240 worldwide destinations.
With the new app, customers will be able to find hotels that are close to them with accomdations available the same night, or be able to search for future stays by city, zip code, or landmark. Users will also be able to access information about each hotel, including photos, guest reviews, special offers, amenities, and detailed descriptions.
Benefit from Orbitz Price Assurance, which automatically rewards users in the event that another Orbitz.com customer books the same hotel stay at a lower rate, is also included in the app, along with Orbitz Low Price Guarantee. With the app, customers also do not have to pay any Orbitz fees for hotel cancellations or changes.
To celebrate the launch of the new app, Orbitz has instituted a 72 hour flash sale. Customers who book select hotels from October 19 to October 21, 2012, will receive an extra 10% off their booking. The discount can also be combined with other offers available on the app that include Orbitz Mobile Steals, Fall Sale, free nights, dining credits, and room upgrades.
