Frankfurt Airport opened its new A-Plus Concourse, which features five new Lufthansa lounges. For European departures and arrivals, the concourse offers a First Class Lounge, a Senator Lounge, and a Business Lounge. There is also a Senator Lounge (the airlines’ largest lounge worldwide) and a Business Lounge for Non-European (Non-Schengen) departures and arrivals.

The lounges sport a new design that was developed with the help of passenger input and customer focus group input. Features of the new lounges include backlit walls with various themes and motifs such as forest, and materials that include leather and oak.

The Senator Lounge in the Non-European area features nearly 23,000 square feet of floor space, and offers numerous facilities. By the first half of 2013, Lufthansa plans to be able to offer 13 lounges.
