Japan Airlines (JAL) and British Airways announced an expansion of their existing codeshare agreement effective at the end of the current month.  The new routes covered by the agreement include flights from London’s Heathrow Airport to Rome, Bologna, Milan, Amsterdam, and Warsaw.

JAL will place its flight numbers on British Airways-operated flights between London and these destinations starting October 28.

The new cities are in addition to 27 existing codeshare destinations in Europe that are served by British Airways, as well as JAL flights on 17 routes from Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports to 14 international and domestic destinations .  The new cities bring the total number of JAL and British Airways codeshare cities in Europe to 32.

Tickets for the new codeshare destinations may be purchased starting October 25, 2012.
