Hilton Worldwide announced a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in South Africa, set to open later this year. The hotel will be the company’s fifth property in South Africa, and its second in Cape Town.

Currently known as the Upper Eastside, the 183-room hotel will undergo renovations in the coming months as it transitions into a DoubleTree property. When it reopens, it will be called DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside, and will have executive rooms and suites, along with a number of two-story duplex loft rooms on the top floor.

The hotel will include a fitness center, business center, eight rooms for business use, and a function room capable of holding up to 300 people. The property will also have a bar, restaurant, and coffee shop located on the premises.
