Alaska Airlines Announces Expanded Anchorage-Los Angeles Service

Alaska Airlines announced it will expand its Anchorage-Los Angeles service beginning April 8, 2013. The airline has flown the nonstop route over the summer for the past several years, and will now include a daily daytime flight for over half the year, as well as an additional nighttime flight during the summer.

The expanded service will see the new daily daytime flights depart Anchorage at 11:00 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 5:45 p.m., and depart Los Angeles at 6:45 p.m. and arrive in Anchorage at 11:15 p.m. The service will begin on April 8 and end on December 3.

The additional nighttime service from Anchorage to Los Angeles will begin June 2 and end September 3, while flights from Los Angeles to Anchorage will begin on the same date and end a day earlier, on September 2. Flights will depart Anchorage at 12:45 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 6:59 a.m., while flights departing Los Angeles will leave at 8:40 p.m. and arrive in Anchorage at 1:04 a.m.

Alaska Airlines is offering a special reduced one-way fare of $149 between the two cities. Tickets must be purchased by October 25 and used for travel between April 8 and May 28, 2013. Customers can visit to purchase their tickets.
