New Restaurant Opens at San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina
The San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina hotel has opened a new restaurant, the Marina Kitchen Restaurant & Bar. Located in downtown San Diego, the new restaurant is run by chef Aaron Schwartz, and offers all-day dining featuring modern American cuisine.
Breakfast at the restaurant features a buffet with fresh, seasonal, and gluten-free items, along with local Baja favorites. The lunch menu has such classics as the French dip sandwich and black bean chili, along with the chef’s specialties, which include dishes such as fried Mexican rockfish with chipotle lime dipping sauce and handmade La quercia prosciutto and pesto pizzas. In addition to the appetizers, entrees, and desserts offered for dinner, the restaurant also includes a daily roast, featuring items like the herb roasted beef prime rib and basil garlic marinated leg of lamb.
Twenty-five wines by the glass and 250 by the bottle are available, as well as a revolving list of four barrel wines on tap. The Marina Cellar wine cellar doubles as a small event space for intimate dinners. Two other private dining rooms are available, including one with views of the San Diego Bay from the outdoor terrace.
