Kempinski Hotels opened its newest property, the Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square, in the Old Town district of Vilnius, Lithuania. Kempinski’s first property in the Baltic region offers 96 rooms and suites as well as conference and function space.

Old Town Vilnius is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and the building housing the Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square was once a well-known hotel. The building’s restoration sought to preserve the history with its white marble lobby with panoramic windows, high ceilings, and parquet floors.

Guest rooms range from 215 to 495 square feet (20 to 46 square meters) and suites are as large as 1,420 square feet (132 square meters). Rooms are individually decorated and feature indirect lighting, parquet floors, and mosaic tiled bathrooms. Deluxe rooms offer high ceilings and Cathedral Square views.

Dining options include Le Salon, the lobby bar and lounge, which is open all day and overlooks Cathedral Square, and Telegrafas, an elegant dining restaurant where the city’s telegraph office once stood.

The hotel also features a 6,458 square foot (600 square meter) conference center consisting of six conference rooms with modern amenities, as well as a glass-roofed Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Kempinski The Spa offers guests spa treatments and exercise facilities, including an indoor pool and two saunas.
