Hotel Chandler Undergoes $10 Million Renovation
With a $10 million renovation nearly complete, the Hotel Chandler of New York announced details of its new and updated features. Owned and operated by Triumph Hotels, the 138-room property includes suites that feature classic bay windows, rich cherry wood armoires, tufted headboards, rainfall showerheads, and four-poster beds. The property is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Interior designer Jane Capellini redesigned the hotel’s lobby, cocktail and wine bar, library room, and the Chandler Lounge, with the goal of maintaining the historical integrity of the architecture while combining it with contemporary comforts and distinctive furnishings. Details include a mosaic rug in the lobby, over-sized armchairs, antique 18th century clock hands, copper details, and the original exterior facade.
The second phase of the renovation will include the opening in early 2013 of Juni, a 50-seat fine-dining restaurant offering locally-sourced organic ingredients with a seasonally-inspired menu. The restaurant will also include a private dining room for parties of up to 30 people.
Hotel Chandler is offering the “Chandler Refresh Package” at a starting rate of $350 to commemorate its renovation. The package includes late check-out, complimentary cocktails, breakfast, and tickets to the nearby Empire State Building. The offer is available until the end of the year, and can be obtained by calling the hotel direct at 212-889-6363 and mentioning the “Refresh Package.”
