United Airlines announced the first routes for its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.  The initial routes are domestic and the new planes will start flying in November of 2012 from United’s Houston hub.  Destinations will include Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington (Dulles).

These domestic routes will precede United’s 787’s previously-announced international routes, LINK , which are set to begin in December and January.

Following United’s taking delivery of its first 787 Dreamliner in late September, the aircraft will be put through its FAA-required proving and validation flights in October.  On November 4, 2012, the first scheduled commercial flights will depart from Houston, where all five of United’s Dreamliners it is receiving this year will be based.

United’s Dreamliners will be configured with 36 seats in United BusinessFirst, 72 seats in United Economy Plus, and 111 seats in United Economy.  Tickets for the domestic flights will go on sale beginning September 1.
