American Airlines Partners with Baggage Delivery Service

American Airlines Boeing 757American Airlines has partnered with BAGS VIP Luggage Delivery to offer customers a baggage delivery service.

Starting August 6, American customers will be able to upgrade to BAGS VIP Luggage Delivery service that will claim and deliver their bags to a specified location. The service is available seven days a week (including holidays) at 200 domestic airports, and select international Pre-Clearance locations.

Passengers can order the service anytime between booking and two hours before the departure of their flight on American’s website by clicking “View Itinerary”. Fees are $29.95 for one bag, $39.95 for two, and $49.95 for three to ten.

Upon arrival and check-in at their departure airport, customers will receive bag tags that will signal to BAGS VIP Luggage Delivery representatives where the bags need to be delivered. Bags will then be delivered to locations within 40 miles of the airport, and arrive within one to four hours

Bags being delivered 41 to 100 miles from the airport will arrive within four to six hours, and incur a $1 per mile charge.
