Qatar Airways and the Tanzania Tourist Board have announced the launch of a new route between Doha International Airport in Qatar, and Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.

The service will begin on July 25, and operate daily via Nairobi.

Qatar currently operates two flights each day to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the country’s largest city, and commercial capital. The carrier also offers connecting flights from 170 U.S. cities via its three U.S. gateways (Houston, New York, and Washington D.C.) to its hub in Doha.

The United Republic of Tanzania is an East African country, and the home of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Its Kilimanjaro International Airport is the second largest airport in the country, behind Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
