W to Renovate North American Hotels

Starwood’s W Hotels group has announced plans to renovate more than ten of its properties in North America over the next 18 months.

Among the hotels being renovated is the W New York – Union Square, which just finished a redesign of all 270 of its rooms, and will have its Living Room bar upgraded next year. The W New York – Times Square will undergo renovations in all of Wow and Ewow suites, and the W New York had its meeting rooms redesigned earlier this year and will also have a new Living Room bar next year.

The W Chicago – Lakeshore will undergo a renovation of all 520 of its rooms, as well as all of its public spaces by next year. The W New Orleans – French Quarter is currently undergoing guestroom renovations, which should be completed by mid-summer.

The W San Diego has recently expanded and renovated its meeting rooms and rooftop bar, and the W Montreal and W Dallas hotels are currently redesigning their rooms.

W Hotels has plans to have more than 50 properties by the end of 2013, adding new locations such as Santa Fe, Mumbai, and Singapore.
