Verizon announced new speed tiers for its Verizon FiOS internet service.

The new broadband offerings, dubbed FiOS Quantum, are available as both stand-alone home internet solutions or as part of the company’s double- and triple-play bundles that include home phone and TV channel packages.

The fastest option features 300 Mbps download and 65 Mbps upload, which is twice as fast as the previous premium FiOS offering. Also available are speeds of 150 Mbps download and 65 Mbps upload, 75 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload, and 50 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload.

Existing FiOS customers can upgrade without incurring a change of service fee, and the top-tier 300 Mbps service is available for $210 a month on a month-to-month basis, or $205 a month with a two-year contract.
