South African Airways Adds Routes to Ivory Coast and Republic of Congo
South African Airways has announced it will add two new routes, to Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
On August 17, the carrier will launch the Abidjan route as an extension of its Accra, Ghana flights on Tuesdays and Fridays. South African will also fly between Accra and Abidjan in both directions. The Abidjan route will be operated aboard Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Abidjan is the Ivory Coast’s economic capital, and the country’s largest city.
On September 13, South African will begin service to Brazzaville with two flights per week aboard Airbus A319-200 Aircraft. Brazzaville is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Congo.
With the addition of the two new routes, South African Airways will soon serve 28 destinations in Africa.
