Nobu, one of the world’s best known Japanese restaurants, is branching out into the hotel business.  The first Nobu Hotel will open in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas later this year and will be run by Nobu Hospitality Partners, which includes chef Nobu Matsuhisa and actor Robert De Niro.

The new hotel will offer 181 rooms, including 18 suites, and feature custom art by Japanese artists. Surfaces of the Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace will be made of wood tiles and carpets will be designed to look like cherry blossoms and Japanese Zen gardens.

Guests will register in their guestrooms using an iPad and will be welcomed by hot tea.   The rooms will feature custom Simmons mattresses with Egyptian cotton sheets and Down Dream pillows. Minibars with contents selected by Nobu will include gourmet items such as Wild Poppy blood orange chili juice, chocolate Pocky pretzels, and Japanese beer.

Guests of the Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace will have private access to a Nobu restaurant and lounge, as well as 24-hour room service from a Nobu menu.

Rooms can be booked for the new hotel starting October 1.
