Bobino Driinn Phone Holder – Review

Appropriately enough, I found the Bobino Driinn mobile phone holder in the gift shop at the Post & Tele Museum in Copenhagen just a week ago.  The concept behind it is simple:  just plug your phone’s wall charger in with the plug going through the cutout of the Driinn phone holder and the Driinn will hang on the wall, giving you a safe place to store your phone while it charges.

As our ongoing studies of hotel pet peeves have shown, electrical outlets in hotels are rarely in a convenient place and, more often than not, charging a smartphone might involve leaving it on the floor near the outlet.  Just a day before my visit to the museum, I had seen a sad-looking crushed iPhone at the hotel’s reception desk (it had been stepped on).

At the gift shop, I didn’t hesitate for a moment.  I bought one.  Indeed, I was so smitten with the phone holder that I bought several more as gifts.

The Driinn phone holder comes in several different colors including red and black (I chose red for mine so it would stand out in order to avoid it being left behind in a hotel room).  It is made out of a mixture of rubber and plastic.

Once I returned home, I noticed that there is also a slightly larger version with a hinge and a non-slip pad for the smartphone as well.  This version wasn’t on sale at the Post & Tele Museum gift shop but I am ordering several of these as well.

The Bobino Driinn Folding Phone Holder is available at for $6.95.
