American and WestJet Partner for Frequent Flyer Programs

American Airlines Boeing 757American Airlines and WestJet Airlines, a Canadian carrier, have partnered to offer new frequent flyer benefits.

Members of the American Airlines AAdvantage program and WestJet’s WestJet Rewards program can now earn AAdvantage miles or WestJet dollars when traveling on either airline.

American and WestJet currently codeshare on 43 WestJet routes and 61 American routes. Their codeshare agreements allow service to Canada from five major American hubs: Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.
