Air Berlin, a member of the oneworld alliance, is offering reduced last-minute business-class fares to Europe. Special fares for flights between New York and Berlin or Dusseldorf start at $1989 (including taxes) for travel from July 1 to August 31. Other U.S. gateways include Miami, with business-class fares starting at $2,359, and Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, with business-class fares starting at $2759. The fare sale ends June 24, 2012 and can be booked online.

In January, Air Berlin introduced its new economy-class and business-class seating aboard its long-haul A330-200s. The new business-class seats have a 170-degree recline, a 20-inch width, and when fully reclined, a length of 71 inches. Other business-class amenities include personal entertainment systems, and gourmet meals.

Additionally, companies that enroll in Air Berlin’s business points loyalty program by July 31, 2012 will be entered for a chance to win two round-trip economy-class tickets to Germany.
