What Are Your Top Hotel Pet Peeves?

If you’re reading this, you probably spend quite a bit of time in hotels. But even the best hotels in the world can do things that drive us up the wall.  In addition, many of us have very specific preferences  and requirements, and some hotels simply fall short on these.

To find out which hotel pet peeves bug you the most, Frequent Business Traveler magazine has joined with FlyerTalk, the world’s largest travel online community. Together, we’ll be conducting a series of pet peeve polls that will also look at air travel, restaurants, and technology.

Simply drag your biggest pet peeves to the top of the list (below), and rank them in descending order.

Our list was compiled by a group of frequent travelers that includes members of FlyerTalk.

We left out some common gripes such as “expensive minibars” and “no free breakfast” as we’re really looking for the irritants that actually happen once you have settled into your room. Everyone knows that minibars are usually expensive, and amenities such as free breakfast can be determined before you even book a room.

Results from the 2012 Hotel Pet Peeves Poll are now available.
