Virgin America to Launch San Francisco-Reagan National Route
Virgin Airlines has received Department of Transportation (DOT) approval to launch a daily, non-stop flight between San Francisco International Airport and Washington D.C.’s Reagan National airport.
The new flight will begin later this summer, although exact details have yet to be released.
The route became available as a result of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, which allows the DOT to issue a select number of new flights to airports outside Reagan National’s 1,250-mile perimeter limit.
Virgin America is now in 18 markets, and offers three classes of service, Wi-Fi throughout its fleet, and in-seat touchscreen entertainment.
