United to Launch Denver-Tokyo Route

United Airlines has announced it will begin a daily, nonstop route between its hub at Denver International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport on March 31, 2013 (pending government approval), with service from Tokyo beginning April 1

The westbound flight, United 123, will depart Denver daily at 11:55 a.m. and arrive in Narita at 3 p.m. the next day. The eastbound flight, United 122, will depart Tokyo at 4:40 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 12:30 p.m. that same day.

The carrier will operate the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the new route. United’s Dreamliners are configured with a total of 219 seats, 36 in BusinessFirst and 183 in economy (which includes 63 Economy Plus seats with extra legroom). United’s BusinessFirst section provides flatbed seats among other amenities.

United operates nearly 5,600 flights to 375 destinations each day. The new Tokyo route will be United’s first nonstop service from Denver to Asia.
