Hawaiian Airlines has announced plans to add the city of Sapporo to its list of Japan destinations, pending Japanese government approval. If approved, Hawaiian would begin service three times per week between Honolulu International Airport and New Chitose Airport (on the island of Hokkaido) in November.

The flight, Hawaiian Flight #441 would depart Honolulu Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 2:45 pm, and arrive at New Chitose at 7:00 pm the next day. The return flight, #442, would depart New Chitose on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 9:00 pm, and arrive in Honolulu at 9:15 am the same day. The flights would be operated using Boeing 767-300ERs.

Sapporo would join Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka as Hawaiian’s Japanese destinations. The carrier is also adding service to New York City on June 4.
