Russia’s Transaero Airlines has recently signed a $744 million order with Boeing for four 787-8 Dreamliners.

The deal was signed in a ceremony aboard a 787 during a demonstration flight for Transaero executives and employees. The airline plans to operate the Dreamliners on both domestic and international routes.

Transaero, established in 1991, was the first private airline inRussia. It was also the first Russian airline to fly Boeing aircraft, beginning in 1993. Transaero is currently the second largest airline inRussia, and operates Boeing 737, 747, 767, and 777 aircraft.
