Samsung Announces New Galaxy Mobile Devices

Samsung unveiled two new additions to its line of Galaxy mobile tablet computers.

The Galaxy Tab 2 comes in two models, 7” and 10.1”.  Features include dual-core processors, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), a built-in IR Blaster that enables the tablets to function as a universal remote control, and a memory card slot.  Additional features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, front and rear facing cameras, GPS, and stereo speakers.

Both models support up to 36 GB of microSD memory.  The Galaxy Tab 2 7” has 8 GB of built-in memory, while the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1” comes with increased memory of 16 GB.

Samsung also announced new Galaxy Player models in 3.6” and 4.2” sizes, for those looking for a smaller tablet experience.  Both devices feature Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, front and rear facing cameras, 8 GB of built-in memory, and support for up to 32 GB via microSD.
