Element Harrison Hotel To Open Near Newark Liberty Airport
Starwood has announced that it will open the Element Harrison hotel in the Summer of 2014, five miles from Newark Liberty International Airport.
Element Harrison will join Element Ewing Princeton as the second Element hotel in New Jersey. Element is Starwood’s brand of eco-friendly green hotels.
Element Harrison will offer 138 green rooms, and other brand staples such as “Rise”, a complimentary healthy breakfast, the “Motion” 24-hour fitness center, an indoor saline pool, and fully equipped kitchens with filtered water and Energy Star-rated appliances.
The hotel will be located adjacent to the NJ Path Harrison train station, and near the Newark Penn Station and Gateway Center, as well as the Prudential Center.
Starwood launched the Element brand in 2008 with the mandate that all properties follow the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
The hotel will be owned and developed by Harrison Hotel 1, an entity of Ironstate Holdings, and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
