US Airways, a member of the Star Alliance, announced that it plans to expand its deployment of Gogo in-flight Internet to its fleet of Airbus A319, A320, and Embraer 190 aircraft.

Currently, Gogo is available on the airline’s Airbus A321 aircraft, which will be upgraded from ATG to ATG-4 technology, with a substantial increase in speed.  Gogo’s ATG-4 technology will also be installed going forward.

The Gogo service will also be deployed to US Airways Express Embraer 170 and 175 aircraft, operated by Republic Airways.

US Airways is also adding Gogo Vision for in-flight entertainment.  The Gogo Vision platform allows passengers to watch movies and television programs on Wi-Fi enabled devices.

The deployment should be complete by the end of 2013.
