Tryp by Wyndham Opens in New York City

Wyndham has opened its first Tryp by Wyndham hotel in the U.S., the 173-room Tryp New York City Times Square South, on West 35th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

The hotel offers signature guest rooms including Family, Samsung Experience, and Fitness. The Samsung Experience rooms feature amenities including 55-inch flat-screen TVs, 3-D glasses, Nintendo Wii systems, Blu Ray players, and iPod docking stations.

Family rooms can accommodate six to eight people and have bunk beds for children. Fitness rooms feature stationary bikes and workout gear.

Tryp New York City Times Square South’s open lobby features free Wi-Fi, a quiet library, free access to Google Chrome laptops, and Google TVs,  and The Gastro Bar at 35th, serving European breakfast daily. The Gastro Bar also offers tapas, and a selection of wines, coffee, cheeses and cocktails. The hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness center and 1,200 square feet of event space.

The hotel also features Lobby Friend, a temporary online social network to allow guests to communicate and socialize with each other and hotel staff during their stays.
